In ancient times "sideritis" was a generic reference for plants capable of healing wounds caused by iron weapons during battles. Nowadays it is mostly refered to shepherd tea, Greem mountain tea or Sharr mountain tea. Mountain tea contains significant amounts of flavanoids, antioxidants, tannins, iron, cobalt, zinc, potassium, magnesium, sodium and essential oils and has broad use in traditional medicine.
